Half Dome Sunset
The setting sun illuminating Half Dome with the Merced River in the dark foreground. This shot couldn't be made with a single exposure. Most cameras were completely washing out the sky and Half Dome and shorter exposures put the whole foreground in the shadows. The bridge was full of people trying and waiting for alpenglow that never materialized that evening. This image is direct sunlight on Half Dome.
